Ed Wood, Jr. (October 10, 1924 – December 10, 1978), nicknamed “The World’s Worst Director,” directed and wrote Bride of the Monster (1955), Plan 9 From Outer Space (1959), and Night of the Ghouls (1959). He was also the titular character of Tim Burton’s Ed Wood (1994), played by Johnny Depp.
