Guillermo del Toro (October 9, 1964), who wrote and directed Cronos (1993), Mimic (1997), The Devil’s Backbone (2001), Hellboy (2004), Pan’s Labyrinth (2006), Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008), and Crimson Peak (2015), wrote Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (2010), directed Blade II (2002) and the Playable Trailer (called P.T.) for the video game Silent Hills which was unfortunately canceled, and created “The Strain.”
