Gangster, gambler, and bookie Dominick Didato (alias Terry Burns) is shot outside a restaurant
The investigators believed gangland vengeance was to blame for Didato’s murder; Didato was one of 4 killings in 3 weeks to have some connection to the criminal underworld. According to the Daily News (Aug. 7, 1936), Didato was struck in his neck, temple, heart, and ear.
