The Illustrated Police News: “peeping tom” thrown into bath after being discovered; six nuns buried under debris of collapsed convent

A man caught spying on female bathers was thrown into the bath and left “a sadder, wetter, wiser man.”

Another article mentioned on the cover involves six nuns being buried alive, though “buried alive” is an optimistic approach to the story; the nuns’ “shockingly mutilated” remains were pulled from the rubble of a collapsed convent wing four hours after the disaster.
