Beginning of the Salem Witch Trials

The Salem Witch Trials officially begin as Sarah Good, Sarah Osborne, and Tituba are brought before the magistrate

By the end of the trials, 20 people would be executed; 14 of whom were women, and all but one were hanged. (The one exception was a man who was crushed beneath rocks while a confession was attempted to be forced from him.)
