Teddy Roosevelt laments in his diary the passing of his mother and wife within hours of each other
Roosevelt held his wife as she passed away 36 hours after the birth of their daughter from undiagnosed Bright’s disease, a kidney disease; she was just 22-years-old. Earlier the same day, his mother died in the same house, who at 48 died of Typhoid Fever.
