FLW: defiant to the end

Famous Last Words
Francis “Two Guns” Crowley
Ossining, New York
January 21, 1932

“You sons of bitches. Give my love to my mother.”

19-year-old Francis “Two Guns” Crowley was executed for the murder of a woman who rejected his advances. Some sources cite an alternate final statement, either “I want to wipe off the chair after this rat sat in it,” as he was electrocuted after his partner in crime, or “how is it, Sarge?” as he waved to a guard. Regardless of which final statement was the true one, he met his maker with defiance.
