The body of a teenager is found after 4 polar bears picked his bones clean from the waist down. It was originally believed the man, Richard Hale (19), had committed suicide with one newspaper (The Daily Reporter; Dover, Ohio; Jan. 22, 1972; page 3) mentioning Hale had recently broken up with 2 girlfriends.
According to The Evening Review (East Liverpool, Ohio; Jan. 25, 1972; page 2), trace amounts of methadone were found during Hale’s autopsy. Because of this, the death was officially ruled accidental due to a court ruling which stipulated any drug-related deaths must be ruled as such.
