Simon Peter Nelson bludgeons and stabs his 6 children to get back at his wife
Nelson and his second wife had had marital issues for some time before Mrs. Nelson requested a divorce during a phone conversation. Nelson then bludgeoned his children (Jenny, 12; Simon Peter III, 10; Andrew, 8; Matthew, 7; Roseann, 6; David, 3) with a rubber mallet and stabbed each as they slept. Nelson also sliced the throat of the family dog. After the murders, Nelson tracked his wife down to a hotel, beat her, and informed her of the children’s murders.
Nelson was convicted of the murders of his children and sentenced to 100 to 200 years in prison.
