Aftermath of the Iroquois Theater fire

From the Chicago Daily Tribune
Published December 31, 1903

Several pages dedicated to the fire at the Iroquois Theater the day before depicts the scene in which 571 died from either the fire, suffocation, or injuries sustained from attempting to escape.

The entire 7 pages of articles addressing the disaster can be read here.

(Note: the Chicago Tribune’s archives used to be free to view, which is why many of the articles on this page originated from that newspaper, but they have unfortunately become part of the newspapers.com collection and require a subscription to read at this time. Should I find a good quality source of scanned images from this 7-page spread, I will update this page.)
