20-year-old Margaret Anne Jackson was strangled in an apartment for male university students. The immediate suspect was her boyfriend, Robert E. Bednasek, who witnesses testified would jealously argue with Jackson often. The day before she was killed, Jackson had been on a date with another man, as well. Bednasek was arrested, charged, and tried for the murder but was ultimately acquitted.
